Prof. Gong is former dean of the Institute of Education and at Nanjing University, and member of Nanjing University Affairs Committee. His main research fields are theories of higher education, higher education policy, higher education management, higher education in Hong Kong and Taiwan. He is also a part-time professor of Xiamen University, Petroleum University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Tin Ka Ping Visiting Scholar of Chinese University of Hong Kong, executive director for Academic Committee in the Chinese Association of Higher Education. In recent years, Prof Gong has written many significant papers such as, "On the 'should be' and 'could be' of system reform for modern university", which has gained high prize from academic community. |
